Unselfish servants Mothers are expected to give of themselves without murmuring or complaining they re expected to always be there regardless of a child's actions, decisions, they are there to cry with them when others turn away. There is a oneness because of the nine months of pregnancy that bonds the mother and child. There is none closer than those connected to their moms. Verse 6 focuses especially on her wisdom and kindness She can't have a true love for the seed planted into them. Real love comes from a relationship with God! Recognize the fact that God knows you, he recognizes your faith. Verse 8 God commanded a widow woman to sustain the prophet She was already talking to God. God chose this widow of all widows! pg4 He tested her to see whether she would obey She had to take a step of faith. She had to make sure her son was taken care of Elijah assured her with what the Lord had said. "the cruse of oil shall not fail"...on1 Kings 17:14 For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth. Our trust in God is paramount. He will take care of you! She received blessing for her household and also received the same son raised from the dead later.
