Introduction:
We are in a special season in the earth.
Be mindful of what time it is.
God has future plans for the people of God.
He has an “expected end” for us.  (Jeremiah 29:11)
Eye has not seen nor ear heard what the Lord has prepared for his children in this life.  (1 Corinthians 2:9) “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
 
His peace will keep our hearts and minds in the  Lord!
Circumstances can be a deterrent to our peace.
He is Jehovah Shalom, the God of Peace.
 
Sound doctrine and dependance on God will carry us through,
Deceptions in the world today are even affecting the people of God - We can be deceived as well as the unsaved.
Except the lord shorten the days, no flesh would live and even the elect would be deceived if it were possible  (Mark 13:20) (ASV) And except the Lord had shortened the days, no flesh would have been saved; but for the elect's sake, whom he chose, he shortened the days.
 
It is a challenge to have discernment to know what is real and what is not real; to know what is of man and what is of God. Those who have a keen ear hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying to the churches.

Eve had understanding of what not to do
The enemy challenged her knowledge – “hath God said?”  in other words, “do you believe He really meant it the way he said it?”
Know that the Holy Spirit in you leads you into all truth
Deception: pleasant to the eyes, good for food, desired to make one wise
(*Thought here – the devil caters to our desires and lusts. “ Look at the tree.”  I am reminded of God’s instruction to Jehoshaphat when the evil king shut up the city and taunted him.  “Do not argue with him.”)

We have a choice – Love God or love this world’s system

Satan seeks to draw you into the mindset of being your own God.   religion, etc. enticing believers away from God
Attacks and bombarding events like never before – spirit of tolerance, acceptance, compromise
Gen 3:  Verse 5  God doth know that in the day you eat you shall be as God, knowing good and evil
An increase in false religions around thousands of years being your own God
New Age teachings, ancestral worship, Buddhism, etc.
Manifesting glory and power outside of a relationship with God  
Evolution seeks to eliminate the existence of God in creation, thus eliminating their accountability to God in the end
There is the idea that man will evolve into God
Science, technology, artificial intelligence make man his own God.

Lies the devil tells you:
“You can make it in the world, be successful and have a better life outside of God.”
If you limit yourself to what God says, you limit your full potential
Knowledge increases, speed is increasing, etc, -   confirmation of God’s word
Many fail because of trying to deal with issues outside of recognition that God is real.
*Man attempts to make God in man’s image.  Man tries to have final authority over his life and what happens in the earth.
 
Genesis 3 – the eyes of them both were opened and they knew they were naked.  They heard God walking and hid themselves
God said, ‘hast thou eaten of the tree?”
Shekinah glory had covered them since the beginning.
This had been the “dispensation of innocence” with covenant intimate relationship with God
Adam had intelligence beyond any other he named all of God’s creation.
Now mankind only operates with 5% of his brainpower.
After the fall of sin, the covering/glory was lifted off/away from Adam and Eve.
They had to establish their own way to cover themselves. They were exposed to all weapons of the enemy
Now they are exposed to all weapons of the enemy with no defense against him.  .
Even now he has to produce something to cover himself: he still thinks he needs to produce a sense of value outside of God.

Separation from God:
God  placed them outside of the garden to avoid partaking of the tree of life and living forever in this sinful condition.
God is merciful, but also a God of judgment. Now God sends Jesus to die for them
 
God gives us the power to choose!  Adam and Eve chose disobedience.
“Whosoever will let him come”
 
When they disobeyed God they became submissive to the will of Satan.
 
Romans 5  by one man sin entered into the world and by one man’s obedience
Romans 5:12 KJV - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered - Bible Gateway. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
 
Everything Adam had had become under Satan
2Cor 4  God of this world, prince of the power of the air
Earthly creations, Jesus came to restore, to seek and save that which was lost
Came to redeem man to true relationship that they had with God in the garden
“Without shedding of blood there is no remission of sin,” (Heb 9:22)
God could have shed their blood but had mercy
He shed the blood of animals for them.  Also made animal skins for covering.
You shall be as God
Many are drawn away from their steadfastness in the Word seeking Self improvement, modernism, covetousness
Jesus said “I came that you might have life and life abundantly”.  Walk in fulness 
(John 10:10) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
Seek first the kingdom of God
He provides all our needs according to His riches in glory
The spirit of compromise is trying to destroy our life in the kingdom (*as newborn babes. desire the sincere milk of the Word!)

Apostacy – willfully turning away and rejecting knowledge, the truth of God’s word
Being satisfied with their personal agenda but happiness is a result of our holiness
Deceptions come like the enemy came to Adam and Eve. They are based on natural sight.
We must know who Jesus is and why we are in the world.  Who He called us to be – salt and light in the earth
God increased miracle-working authority in this world.
 
There will be no doubt as to who the true and living God is.  Habakkuk 2:19  earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
 
God has to hold true to His word.
Numbers 23:19  God is not a man, He cannot lie nor the son of man that he should repent.
Look at the word, set affections on things above, look at things not seen, do not allow problems to become greater than God’s promises.

God did not create the tree to make Eve wise.
Know the word of God.
Psalm 1:1,2  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. 2 But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
 
Present our bodies a living sacrifice, be transformed by the word of God, seek wisdom as to how to walk with Him.
The Spirit of God confirms the word of God
Adam and Eve left the dispensation of innocence and entered the dispensation of conscience where man says “whatever you feel is right.” He disrespects anything about God.
Ie: gender -  Man decides his own gender even in young children
 
There is an increase in the spirit of antichrist.  Replacing God’s word and substituting with doctrines of devils
 
“Perilous times shall come”  2 Timothy 3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, 5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:
 
“All that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.”  2 Timothy 3:12    Unfortunately, believers often agree or remain silent .  We must stand for the truth.  Those who live godly shall suffer persecution. Give them the truth anyway.
2Timothy 3:10-12  But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience, 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.

2 Tim 4, Rev 2 the church of Pergamos
Doctrines of Balaam – false prophet sold his service to a heathen King
Rejected the offer to speak a curse over Israel at first.  More prestige and wealth enticed him.  Monetary gain entices to lead away from God
 
Corrupt leaders in the world and in Christendom  drawing into covetousness and self worth
Jesus says you must deny yourself to follow Him. “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
 
“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36)
 
Jude warns of false teachers and urges us to contend  for the faith.
Jude 1:3 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints.” 
Hold fast to the doctrine of truth.
 
The Modern day churches are like Pergamos – they believe you can be saved, in fornication and still be in right standing with God.

When deciding what is acceptable, there is a way that seems right.  God weighs the spirit.  Proverbs 14:12 “There is a way which seemeth  right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” 
Realize that we must give an account!
2Tim 4:1,2   I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; 2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
This world is coming to an end.  We will be judged at His appearing;
Love the lost.  Occupy until He comes
Preach the word, the world is turning away from the truth and turned into fables
We must make our calling and election sure.
Know that you know.  Hunger after righteousness!
Our prayer lives are our only real defense against Satan’s bombardments.
Stay in the presence of the Lord.   Keep yourself built up in the truth.  Many are falling away.
“who hath hindered you?”
The Galatian church;  Galatians 5:7-9  
7 Ye did run well; who did hinder you that ye should not obey the truth? 8 This persuasion cometh not of him that calleth you. 9 A little leaven leaveneth the whole lump
Have a hunger for righteousness

Be filled with the spirit of God and the word of God, praying the Holy Ghost.
If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small ( Proverbs 24:10)
Man’s love waxes cold
Keep a love for the lost
Loyalty abiding?  Do not worry,  His grace is sufficient, we must humble ourselves
Find a place and a time and a people to pray with
Matt 18:19  Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven.
Josh 23;10   One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you.)
Deuteronomy 32:30 30How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight, except their Rock had sold them, and the LORD had shut them up

Keep ourselves prayed up, keep our minds on the word.  Pray in the Spirit in tongues.
Romans 8  the spirit helpeth our infirmities.
 
Holy Spirit will direct what to say, what to do.
Holy Spirit will pray us through, praying according to the perfect will of God, praying in the Holy Ghost.
Do not allow, cast out the compromising spirit of apostacy
Stand with the whole armor of God.  War for the should who don’t know Good.
BE intentional  BE found faithful
Will He find faith in the earth, faith in you?
He is the way, the truth and the life.  No man comes to the Father but by Him.
“I am the First and the Last.” (Jesus)
