The Virtuous Woman (Proverbs 31:10) 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Introduction/prayer We are so glad to be in the kingdom today! We are encouraged by what the lord is saying to us today! Thankful for another day to rejoice in Him. He daily loadeth us with benefits! Eye has not seen, neither has ear heard the things that he has prepared for us. He reveals theses things to us by His spirit. Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers, of course. Today we will be speaking concerning motherhood. God is not a respecter of persons, so I’m sure there are some principles that can be applied not only to the female, but to the male. This is a special day of recognition, acknowledging mothers. I am Encouraging all today, especially the mothers. All mankind can be blessed by the word today. Today we learn of a woman whose name was Hannah Proverbs 31:10 10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. 11 The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. 12 She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. 13She seeketh wool, and flax, And worketh willingly with her hands.14She is like the merchants' ships; She bringeth her food from afar. 15She riseth also while it is yet night, And giveth meat to her household, And a portion to her maidens. 16She considereth a field, and buyeth it:With the fruit of her hands she planteth a vineyard. 17She girdeth her loins with strength, And strengtheneth her arms. 18She perceiveth that her merchandise is good: Her candle goeth not out by night.19She layeth her hands to the spindle, And her hands hold the distaff. 20She stretcheth out her hand to the poor; Yea, she reacheth forth her hands to the needy. 21She is not afraid of the snow for her household: For all her household are clothed with scarlet. 22She maketh herself coverings of tapestry; Her clothing is silk and purple. 23Her husband is known in the gates, When he sitteth among the elders of the land. 24She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; And delivereth girdles unto the merchant. 25Strength and honour are her clothing; And she shall rejoice in time to come. 26She openeth her mouth with wisdom; And in her tongue is the law of kindness. 27She looketh well to the ways of her household, And eateth not the bread of idleness. 28Her children arise up, and call her blessed. Her husband also, and he praiseth her. 29Many daughters have done virtuously, But thou excellest them all.30Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. 31Give her of the fruit of her hands; And let her own works praise her in the gates. . Motherhood: servant of God What the Lord God has to say concerning a virtuous woman: (3 main characteristics of the woman of God)
We are especially encouraged by what the lord has to say to the mothers today. Unselfish servant, Not fully appreciated, Automatically expected to give and sacrifice without murmuring or complaining Give their bodies to their husbands in physical and emotional service to him. The husband’s body is not his own, either but the wife gives her body to her husband, sacrifice physical appearance in pregnancy as the body goes through changes Emotionally, hormonally, etc. then the labor and pain of childbirth as she goes through the experience and travail of childbirth in order to bring a new baby into the world. Mothers should be appreciated and we should really understand the great sacrifice that mothers go through to bring life into the world. 2 Provides the closest bond for the nurturing and nourishing of that child. Sacrifice and commitment goes beyond other human relationships Women/mothers are true examples of servanthood. As Jesus came to serve, not to be served. The 3 important characteristics are much the same. Women, especially virtuous women have a reverent fear of the lord, and a greater sensitivity to the Lord. More spiritual sensitivity to spiritual things, more spiritually connected, More emotionally connected in a lot of ways, sometimes their intimacy in worship is deeper than men’s as God made them that way. A compassion for those in need and a faithful love for her family.commitment. We look here at Hannah in I Samuel, a woman of faith and great desperation, a woman of HANNAH: had a desperate desire for a child, a woman of desperation and also a woman of dedication. She committed herself to believe and trust God for what seemed to be an impossible situation. 1Samuel 1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his name was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: 2And he had two wives; the name of the one was Hannah, and the name of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. 3And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the priests of the LORD, were there. 4And when the time was that Elkanah offered, he gave to Peninnah his wife, and to all her sons and her daughters, portions: 5But unto Hannah he gave a worthy portion; for he loved Hannah: but the LORD had shut up her womb. 6And her adversary also provoked her sore, for to make her fret, because the LORD had shut up her womb. 7And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the LORD, so she provoked her; therefore she wept, and did not eat. 8Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons? Sometimes the things that we desire seem to be dersired and delayed. Sometimes thee things we desire God will allow us to have to wait. Sometines in the waiting theire is a process of our development with God when we have to wait. Wait I say on the lord. I had fainted unless I had believe to see\\ Sometimes It brings us into a more intimate relationship with the lord. 3 Pray without ceasing: (1 Thessalonians 5:17) Elijah prayed Hannah prayed and didn’t let the provoking of Peninnah distract her and get her off focus She was “in bitterness of soul” (I Samuel 1:10) Her prayer and desperation here was not for selfish gain. Not to prove anything to Penninah, but to be blessed of the Lord to be a blessing to the King. And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore. 11And she vowed a vow, and said, O LORD of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the LORD all the days of his life, and there shall no rasor come upon his head. 12And it came to pass, as she continued praying before the LORD, that Eli marked her mouth. 13Now Hannah, she spake in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard: therefore Eli thought she had been drunken. 14And Eli said unto her, How long wilt thou be drunken? put away thy wine from thee. 15And Hannah answered and said, No, my lord, I am a woman of a sorrowful spirit: I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but have poured out my soul before the LORD. 16Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. 17Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him. 18And she said, Let thine handmaid find grace in thy sight. So the woman went her way, and did eat, and her countenance was no more sad. We must make sure our motives are right when we pray. The lord says “whatsoever things ye desire when you pray, believe and ye shall have them. Therefore I say unto you, all things, whatsoever you ask when ye pray, believe that you shall receive; and they shall come unto you. Therefore I say unto you, All things whatsoever ye pray and ask for, believe that ye have received them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:24) Hannah did not want to prove anything but wanted to be blessed to bless the Lord. Be not weary in due season for you will reap if you faint not Know that the plans and purposes He has for you and the time he wants to bring it about in your life are for your benefit. All things work together for your good. What may be the standard of success in your neighbor may not be for you. Ie: David could not use Saul’s armor, God has given you what you need to succeed. If you truly love Godl there is no fear of your future. This is the day He loads us with benefits. We have an adversasry and cannot let distractions and threats overtake you! You must be a person of prayer. Ie: Elijah a man of like passions. You are affected by circumstances your experience. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the lord delivers him out of them all. … think it not strange concerning the fiery trials that shall try you... but God will deliver you he will strengthen you… Hannah prayed and did not let the threats distract her. If you give me a man child I will give him back to you. She took the responsibility to train him up as a child, committing him to be a Zazarite. – (Numbers 6:1-9 – the Nazarite Vow) The LORD said to Moses, 2"Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'If a man or woman wants to make a special vow, a vow of dedication to the LORD as a Nazirite, 3they must abstain from wine and other fermented drink and must not drink vinegar made from wine or other fermented drink. They must not drink grape juice or eat grapes or raisins. 4As long as they remain under their Nazirite vow, they must not eat anything that comes from the grapevine, not even the seeds or skins. 5"'During the entire period of their Nazirite vow, no razor may be used on their head. They must be holy until the period of their dedication to the LORD is over; Nazarites were set apart for service and the work of the kingdom, the temple. Sampson’s vow, commitment =-not power in the hair but in the vow! Pg 4 Hannah “poured out my soul before the Lord” in prayer and worship Hezekiah the prophet told him his days were over. He poured out his soul in bitterness and tears and God gave him 15 more years! When God sees our desire is sincere and our trust is in Him. He has mercy. Hannah was not in sin, but in sorrow. She got a word from the priest, a promise a word from the Lord. From that moment on, she trusted, she believed and she received. There was an inward knowing. Abraham – father of many nations God said his offspring would be a multitude Samuel – his name means, “because I have asked him of the lord.” The Lord remembered her. (Hannah) 5. Children – as we direct/train up, point in the right direction and release them, pray God directs them to the target to fulfill the purpose He has for them. It is the parents’ responsibility to let them know who God is Eternal destiny is determined by how you train them. - in the fear and admonition of the Lord Hannah wanted to wean the child and be sure he had understanding or his purpose. 1 Samuel Chpt. 3 in the temple Samuel developed the ability to know the voice of God. Train the children to know the voice of God and understand what it is to live a life pleasing to God. Mothers, don’t be discouraged or condemned. Lay the foundation and pray. Samuel was a child of submission, a man of transition’ Curse breakers now help to transition the church into this new era (Acts 2:17) And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: (Joel 2:28) And afterward, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Revival as He pour out His spirit on our sons and daughters We are believing for the good. They are vessels and instruments in the hand of God Curse breakers Breaking Generational Curses ! Children are vessels and instruments in the hand of God- curse breakers breaking generational curses and mindsets God is going to use these young people!
