God’s Mercy - God's greatest gift to mankind He came to deliver us, desires we be free from the powers of darkness and reign with Him, have life with him forever The importance of forgiving and walking in forgiveness one to another: The prayer of repentance accepts full responsibility, can’t justify or minimize sin Against thee only have I sinned Psalm 51 King James Version 51 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. 3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. 5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. 9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me. 12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit. 13 Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. 15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. 16 For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it: thou delightest not in burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. 18 Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. 19 Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar. God gives access. I John 1:9 If we confess or sin he is faithful and just to forgive us our sin and cleanse us of all unrighteousness Prov 28:13 He that covers his sin will not prosper but he who confesseth and forsakes There is no act He will not forgive, great is HIs mercy, removes the cloud of condemnation if you will call out restore the joy of our relationship forgetting, cast as far as the east is from the west God decides not to remember He "dismembers" it and does not recreate the situation Come let us reason together He will restore He brought us up out of the miry clay, a new creation, gives a new slate, a new beginning, shows us how to show mercy and forgiveness to our fellow man we deserve death, but we get the gift of life Psalm 103 "Bless the Lord, Oh my soul who forgives all our iniquities and heals our diseases! Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness. His shed blood paid the penalty, He became sin for us! HE PAID THE PRICE Isaiah 53:5, He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him He died that we might be made righteousness REJOICE BECAUSE YOUR ARE BORN AGAIN -YOUR NAME IS WRITTEN IN THE LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE "Blessed is the man whose sins have been forgiven" Forgive one another - fully appreciate what mercy we have received if we don't forgive, God can't forgive us our sins Matt 6:12,14 Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors The greatest sin is to die in sin 1)"except you repent you shall all likewise perish" 2) if we don't forgive, that separates us from God's presence (Isaiah 59) the following promises will have to impact our confessions and decrees have no power Mark 11:23,24 whosover shall say... believe...he shall decree a thing and it shall be done unto you, if any 2 agree as touching, if you ask according to His will you have, speak to the mountain - “when you stand praying, forgive” this is the greatest hinderance to prayer in the life of a believer Matt. 18:23 one servant owed 10,000 (mIllions of dollars in debt) - I forgave you all that debt should thou also have had compassion on our fellow servant? forgive from your heart every one his brother, remember were He brought your from Forgive yourself God’s mercy is enough, you don’t have the spirit of pride to keep brining it up 2 Cor 5:17 Old things are become new Romans 8:1 There is no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus...free from the law of sin and death - don’ allow the enemy to make you feel guilt declare who you are in Christ!
